Leupold Target Dot Reticle Question

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Leupold VX-3 long range 6.5 - 20 50mm with the target dot. Not sure if I like the target dot. Way smaller than I though it would be. I'm going to the range soon to try it out. If I don't like it, can Leupold switch the reticle to a different one? Also, what is the size of the target dot at a 100, 200,... yards?

Force yourself to like it. Its a good reticle for both long and short range use.

try it first...

I had one installed in an old VariXII 2-7, put it on one of my rimfires for gopher whacking. I love it, once you get it out on the range or in the field, it seems to work great. It did seem pretty tiny to me too at first. I like it so much, I just picked up a new VXII 6-18 with the same reticle. I'm putting it on my new to me LH Tikka Varmint in .223

Try it before you decide to change it.

Your both right. I'll take it to the range and try it out, maybe today. If so, I'll send a report back on how I liked it. I have it on a FNAR. It's a very accurate semi-auto .308, I'll see if it improves accuracy or just feels good out there!
