Leupold V6, 3-18x TMR reticle as hunting scope?

saw one at the range on a hunting rifle. 3-18x , I think with the tactical milling reticle. Anyone have any experience with one of these? Good for hunting ? or overkill? Not enough for serious long range shooting?

Mark 6 or V6? The V6 is a great hunting scope. I think the Mark 6 is heavier and more expensive than required although a great target scope.

The weight isn't bad but over $3k for a hunting scope?

I'd put my money towards a safari first.. but that's just me!

Ok, thought about it for a minute, I might mount one on an ATRS Modern Hunter and change my name to The Huntist

Click on "edit post" at the bottom right of your OP, and then select "go advanced"...that'll allow you to edit your title.

It's a lot of scope but it wouldn't be obscene for hunting. Not my first choice though.
