Leupold vari-x III 3.5-10x40 value ??

Seeing how the Leupold vx1 3-9x40 LR is $419 at cableas canada, I don't think $400 is out of the question.

Prices are ridiculous. The vx1 should be a $189 scope. They can be had on eBay in the US for $169 new, shipped. I feel violated....
