Leupold verses Redfield...........?

What would be a better scope,
an older Leupold VX 11 (2?) or
a new Redfield Revolution?
This has been pondering for a while.
Never owned either, but one never
knows what deals will show up.

Redfield is made by Leupold, haven't looked through one so can't give an opinion. They sound as though they'd be on par with VX-1s...

In terms of value, they are good optics. I believe the Redfield Revolution is essentially a VX-1, so you can't go wrong.

Looking through them in the store the clarity looks the same.

I own both and my eyes cannot tell the difference between the Redfield and the older VX II. If a good deal showed up on either I'd go for it and not give it a second thought.
