leupold vs burris.....opinions wanted

We're not talking about the fullfield here, that one's only about comparable to a VX-II. If you have a light meter, you can MEASURE the difference between a burris and a Leupold. With a resolution chart, you can MEASURE the sharpness of the image. This ISN'T opinion. As far as construction, the Leupold used leaf springs, and the Burris uses coils

I remember a story about a Bushnell sales rep that used to go around to the shows and shine a flashlight through every major manufacturer's scopes and see what kind of light came through each respectively. Of course he would save the Bushnell for last and to the amazement of the gathering crowds, the light through the Bushy was fantastically bigger in size and brighter in appearance, comparible to the Burris.
Most humans on earth can not receive any more than 5mm of lightbeam into a pupil - anything else is wash light and mis-directed. Try this with whatever 2 scopes you like and then talk of light meters and sharpness of image, the later being something that will differ from human eye to eye, so becomes a matter of oppinion at that point.
Not stirring a pot more than it has to be stirred, I simply wanted to try to dispell any myths before they start!

What you're talking about is exit pupil. It's measurable, too. And, you can measure the amount of light that falls within that pupil.
