Wondering if anyone has one nearby they could take a quick measurement for me. I'm swapping scopes on my swede. The tube around the ocular lens on the scope I planned to put on is about 1/16 inch to big to allow the bolt to cycle. I have a VX-1 on another rifle I could use, but it sits in a safe an hour drive away. My luck I'll take the drive to find out it's also too big. Thanks.

No it won't work. Putting the measurements up here so I have them recorded.
Old scope is an old 6X Scope Chief @1.422 inch dia. In the link, the VX-1 is listed @ 1.6. The 2.5 X 8 Scope Chief I tried is 1.608. Going to a variable cost me the clearance.
The 6X has about .122 clearance on the bolt handle. Rear base receiver to tube is .512. Front .472.
I'll look tonight for another ring/base combo and If I don't find a replacement the 6X will go on for another season. Thanks for saving me from a 2 hour drive!
If any members or venders here have bases that will work on a small ring Carl Gustaf Mauser in 6.5 55 let me know.
