As the title states I'm looking for opinions on the Leupold VX-1 scope.
I can get one for a pretty good deal and just wondering if they are a good glass for a light recoiling rifle,
Any thoughts / opinions appreciated...

Have a couple tree 'round here.
Prefer them to the 3200's.
I suppose on comparison, the VXI verses the VXII would amass as
comparing the Bushnell 3200 to the 4200.

If there was a choice between either of these scopes, the Leupold would get my grip.

imo, move up to at least the vxii or even better vx2 series, higher the series the better the glass etc. The vx2 was featured in their jackhammer video.

I've mount a vx-1 3-9 x 40 on a savage mkii. Bought it on sale, very happy with it but kind of wishing I went with a touch more magnification.

I like this scope, bought one about 10 months ago on sale for $225. Was going to get the vx2 but when I came across this deal I jumped on it and haven't looked back, sure the vx2 is better but for the money I'm quite happy with the vx1.

I have the 3-9 VX-2 CDS. It's a pretty nice scope. I haven't checked the tracking on it yet. The glass is good. I had an old scope chief on the gun before and I think it may have been a little better. The glass is no where near my sightron scopes. But they have an adjustable parallax, so I'm not sure that's a fair comparison. Either way, I'm happy with mine. If that helps.

Th new vx1 is the same as the older vx2 it now has multi coat 4 coatings.I have 4 new model vx1 and they are great scopes I think they are the best scope made for the money. The difference between leupold and the other brands in its price range is that they hold zero.
