Hey members, I'm considering picking up the Leupold in the title for my H&K SL8, couple of questions. I have never owned this caliber of optic and wanted your thoughts on the optic in general but also anything to consider on the SL8 itself, factory rail replacement ( polymer ) , quality set of rings.

Thanks

I just ordered my Lrp 4.5-14 on the weekend and I'll be throwing it on a 6.5CM. Will report back once I have it zeroed and all. I'm using leupold Mark 4 aluminum rings on it as well.

One of our Pro Shooters is using a VX3i 6.5x20 LRP on a Modern varmint in 6.5 Grendel as has had great results with the whole rig. For the money these scopes are hard to beat.
It is nice that Leupold is starting make up for lost time in bringing new scopes to market, finally.

Super late update. Finally got my scope mounted yesterday, with the medium Leupold Mark4 aluminum rings, I had to mount the scope quite far forward on my Tikka T3x just to get a sight of daylight between the scope and the barrel. Have a busy few days ahead of me but hoping to get to the range within the new week or so. But from looking through the scope off my tripod, at 4,5 power, there is tons of eye relief and a decent amount at 14x. Don't feel like I'm overly close to the scope and mount height feels perfect for how I shoot and how the factory stock is. They have unreal glass and everything seems nice and focused even at full power. Looked at a power pole with 14 power on and could read the numbers almost perfectly, and it was at about 20 minutes passed sunset.
So far, without any shots fired yet, very impressed with this scope and everything is nice and easy to adjust, even without loosing sight of the intended target through the scope. Will post a few pictures in the near future

not trying to take over your post but what are these going for these days? I wonder because I have a VX III 4.5-14x50 Long Range with side parallax 30mm tube, and I wanted to upgrade it. its still like new never really used it too much.
