Leupold VX3 3.5-10 Value

Hey guys I dont know if I will keep it or sell it just curious on value. One of the clearest scopes I own and fresh back from Leupold with new lense and re-gassed.

$400-500 for a dumplex reticle, I don't think the gloss models are as popular as the matte finish ones

That's a Vari X-III, not VX3, so yours is an older model. I'd say $400- $450 max since it's been in for service and it has an adjustable objective. Is it a 50mm objective? They seem to be less popular than the 40.

If I'm reading the ring correctly, that's a Vari-XIII, which would be two generation prior to the VX3.
It went Vari-XIII, VXIII and VX3.
- Friction or click adjustment?

They're great scope, the last one I bought was about $300 on the EE a few years back.

Honestly I would keep it even if you are not using it. They are a very high quality scope and you won't get much for it on the EE. There are lots of newer VX3s and VX3i for sale and these don't get what they are actually worth.

Agree with above.Keep it. Got one sitting on my desk right now.Thinking of putting it on an upsacle 22lr rifle. Now to find such a rifle. For the money you get you won't replace it with equal quality down the road, I suspect. Plus with new glass , it's better than it was new. My 2 cents!

The original lens had a scratch so I paid the 100 bucks to replace the front end of it. Not many scopes as clear as this one now.

that is a very good news for the cost of changing the lenses. do you know if they put newer lenses too?

With Leupold no longer offering gloss scopes, there seems to have been a slight uptick of folks looking for them. I suspect that most of them will be going on blued and walnut old school rifles for the "right" look.

I'd like to find an old school gloss scope for an older 700 varmint rifle.
