I currently have a Leupold VXI 3-9X40 and I am very happy with it. I just picked up a new hunting rifle that needs to be scoped. I am going to go with another 3-9X40 from Leupold. There appears to be about a $120.00 difference between the VXI and the VXII. Is the VXII worth the extra money?

Thanks
JTA

The VX-II has click adjustments on the windage and elevation vs friction adjustment on the VX-I. The big difference is in the lens coatings. The VX-II has "Multi coat 4) on all lens surfaces while the VX-I has this only on the outside surfaces making the VX-II a brighter scope. Phil.

Is there a difference in eye relief between the two or are they about the same?
