Anyone use this? or have experience with it? How easy/hard is it to use?
Better/Worse than say the laser cartridge type bore sighter?
Now for the "big" one does it work?

The newest Leupold magnetic boresighter is better than the old model as it is back lit and a little easier to see. Having said that we still find the Bushnell magnetic boresighter easier to use and much brighter even without an internal light and is half the cost of the leupold. I have no experience with the cartridge style laser bore sighter but have used the muzzel mounted one with acceptable results (other than longer set up time). The only problem I see with the cartidge style laser is the cost especially since it is caliber specific and would have a problem paying the money for only one caliber considering how many times you would use it. No matter how good the bore sighter system is, it is still an approximate zeroing device that does not take the place of sighting in with real ammunition. In our shop we use the Bushnell expanding arbor system (3 expanding arbors and one solid .17 cal) as we find this has been the most accurate (because the expanding arbor centers itself in the bore when tightened up). We occasionally use the Bushnell magnetic version for higher mounted scopes and this last one is what we usually recommend for most home users. Phil.

i always wanted to bore sight my sks and vz (i use scout mounts and there too high) but i can't with my normal bore sighter will this one work on raised scopes/ red dots?

The magnetic boresighters will allow you to slide it higher on the muzzel and will work on most SKS's and military rifles. B-Square offers an offset adapter to use with your regular arbor styly bore sighter. Phil.
