Just curious what to expect from a level 3 in terms of what is checked on the production firearms. This is NOT, repeat NOT a gaming question, just curious as to what checks would occur.

I would think these three would be for sures 1) Is it on the approved list 2) Trigger pull weight 3) External visual inspection (grip tape where it should not be, non OEM parts, etc).

Is there a random check to strip the firearm down to check for any infractions, or is this considered to be an "on your honour" type thing.

I ask given the number and types of restrictions it seems difficult to enforce all the rules, and truly make sure it is a level playing field. Anyone care to share their experiences?

The only check I've seen at level IIIs in Canada are trigger pull weight. From my experience, unless an RO shoots in Production Division he or she likely doesn't have a real grasp of Production Division rules.....

even at the Worlds I didn't hear of any guns being taken apart. you'd need to have people from the factory there to confirm things.

Having said that I have seen some production shooter's ending up shooting against me in Open......with their semi production gun's or mag's ;)
