Lever 22,s

The only thing that bugged me with the BL-22 when I had the opportunity to hunt with one, was the rear folding sight.
- As in, it seems like it would always decide to fold on its own...

The short lever was kind of fun, and a big change from a Marlin 39

Try to locate a Marlin Model 56 if you want something different. There was a guy had one for sale. Put a WTB ad in the exchange and see what response you get.

I have a Henry - not the golden boy, but the regular lever. I have nothing but good things to say about it. It’s seen 4000+ rounds and never jammed or missed once. Everything from cci short subs, to blazer junk - it ate it all. The forestock can get a bit loose, but a dab of silicone inside fixed it right up. I love that little gun.

My first Win 9422 and M was at a grand opening of Home and Auto in Swift , 1970's ?? on sale for 80.oo each, brand new ,Limit of one each.
Had a Ithaca, but not steel, norc. was O.K. for a starter
But the real one has to be the 39.
Browning just don't seem right and a pita to fix.
BTW Marlin 56 and 57 where in tube feed and mag fed.

There are other Winchester levers . They are less than half the price of a 9422 and come in LR and 22 mag. They are the Winchester model 150 22 LR and the model 250 in LR and the model 255 in 22 mag. I started collecting these because I couldn't afford the others. There are lots of other (action) models in this post 64 series and they also have deluxe models, which now days are over a Thou.
