Yooo,
Looking at picking up a 22 lever for gophers, I'm left handed and I like to shoot with open sights.
List of 22 levers(let me know if I'm missing any). Looking for reliability, smooth cycling action and of course accuracy. What are your opinions and experiences with them?

Derya 22 lever
Henry Golden boy and regular
Mossberg 464
Browning blr 22
Chiappa 22 lever
Rossi
Mares leg

IMO, a mares leg is an awkward thing, but to each their own

I have a Henry, the plain one. Plinks great.
Also have a Browning BL-22, a fancy one, IM, to nice to shoot, so it sits.

Cant go wrong with either.

Can't speak to the others.

Shooting at what range? 22mag, or 17HMR are viable options.
The tube mag takes some getting used to, but not a deal breaker.

Henry. Their customer support is great, they're made in North America and not Turkey or Brazil so you can actually get parts for them, and they're not significantly more expensive than the other options on your list.

I was on the fence about Henry, didn't really have a strong opinion one way or the other, until I contacted them about getting a youth size stock for my Single Shot Rifle. They sent me one, free of charge, only cost me like $27 in duty once it got to my door. Can't beat that level of service.

Browning BLR, Winchester 94/ 22 LR....

I used to have a Henry Small Game rifle in 22LR. It was accurate, well put together, and the peep sight was wonderful. Costs a touch more than the regular ol' Henry, but we'll worth the extra cost in my mind.

I'm left-handed too. I have a Browning BL22 Grade 2 octagon in 22 LR. Very nice gun. Only other one I'd look at if I was looking for a 22 lever would be a Winchester 9422. I believe Prophet River has a few. Good luck!

Quality - a 9422, but get your wallet out - they're not cheap

Price / Value - My Henry has been great. Cheap, accurate and reliable.

If it were me, I wouldn't even consider anything else on your list.

Browning BL 22 can be accurate if you get the right one. The short stroke lever can be firm to use.
Winchester are fine and smooth and accurate.
Marlin are accurate, smooth enough, bit heavy, some of them.

Ithaca makes a nice repeater, also make a single tilting block too.

This ^^^^
Henry Small game with peep sights in .22LR or .22mag. Peep sight is much better than the buckhorn and hooded front sight combo.

Having owned a few levers, the only one I currently have and the most accurate is the Marlin 39a. Look for a pre-Remington model which would be without the cross bolt safety. Well built steel receivers, easy to take down and clean and weight and size similar to a full size lever. A bit pricey when you do find one but worth the investment.

Me, it would be a browning, or if you can find a used one a Ruger 96/22. They are the shortest ever lever swing for next round shooting. These are rare, but out there, if you can wait to find one. Ruger also made the 96/44, which is a good addition as well for an awesome set, but even more rare on the market.

My last 96/22 was accurate, and I sold it to a buddy that was needing a 1st 22, and he was all over it in a heart beat after trying it.
