A really good friend of mine has two 7600s, in .243 and .270. They're wonderful, easy carrying, quick pointing rifles.

I don't know quite how much I agree with the "levers suck" sentiment, as I LOVE my Mossberg 472 in .30-30. But to each their own.
 
I'm keeping my BLR's and 94's! I love my levers. :D
I do miss my Finnwolf, but she's remarried and very happy where she is, in the arm's of another.

yep, that they are! untill you get to hug and fondle and dance with a Finnwolf! I don't know what goes on behind closed safe doors, but I do know that, after putting one Finnwolf in the safe, all 88's in said safe wanna jump out and jump into shipping boxes and yell out "I wanna a new home, RFN"!
 
Part of the love for these things is for us lefties. Tang safety and left or right handed. How cool is that? Works for me and my rightie friends without a hitch.
I like all the levers and the 88 and Sako are about the only ones I have yet to own. Almost had a Sako but two-dogs wouldnt sell it to me for the $400 I offered him...And I thought he was a friend... Boo hoo..
Still if you cant afford Sako the Savage 99c is a real good option. Nice lines too.
