Lever action calibers

Barring the tube issue, modern high-pressure rounds are generally unsuitable for use in lever-action firearms due to lever actions having generally poor primary extraction.

Why is it that manufacturers like Marlin and Henry make lever action calibers in either cannons (read 45/70), or plinkers like 22s but don't make anything in between like a 308 or a 300 WSM?

Every month it seems Henry comes out with a new model and it's always a 22. It's very frustrating for those of us who want to have a decent long range rifle in a caliber that won't rip your arm off.

Have you considered reloading? You can tune a load down as well as up. Perhaps just a lighter bullet might be an idea?

In the middle, like: 30-30, 32spl, 44mag, 45LC, 38-55, etc etc. If Marlin and Henry only have 22s and 45-70s, then that's just another in a long long long list of reasons to buy a Winchester instead.

Yea, but they offer a lot more than just those now, and more coming this year. Just gotta do some reading is all. They are adding the 223/556 and 300 Blackout later this year, and that could turn into others next year.
Heck I have a 303 british in a lever action that I shoot, so there are options out there.
