Lever action for cowboy action shoting

The 16 inch Rossi '92 clone in .357 will only hold 9.5 rounds of .38Spl LRN. I was all set to buy one but when we figured this out I had to wait for the 20 inch version to show up.

I do have alot to learn I guess..lol

I found some videos on the Marlin AND the 84 Colt lightning rifle, man it looks impressive really sharp..anyone ever try one?

I've shot a couple of matches where somebody has used one of the repro "Lightning" Rifles. The shooters were not very satisfied with their performance.

This does not appear to be an isolated problem with Lightnings.
I have noticed several people having problems with them and a gunsmith I know seems to get a lot of them for warranty work.
I would stick with a '66 or a '73 lever action. Any one of them seems to have a slick action right from the box.

you make some good points.. I came across a 94 model chambered in .32 special but i'm not to sure about the .32..what do you think?

.32 Winchester Special is listed in the "Cartridges of the World" book,
as one of the most useless cartridges ever made LOL
Also not main match CAS legal as its a rifle caliber.
