I'm thinking I need a lever gun to round out my bear rifle collection.
I'm thinking mid bore so 35 rem or 356 win or 375 win
Any lever fans out there prefer one over the other?

I suppose it's all in the finding of one and the $$ that go with it.
The 35rem seem more available or frequent the EE on greater occurrence
than the other two flavours.

The 336 in 35rem here groups amazingly well for an elderly gal.
Tad mawr s'periance than I.

I personally do not own a lever but I was out with a friend using his winchester 45-70 and it's and absolute blast to shoot. Great size easy to wield in heavy bush. Fast follow up shots in the event you need one. And a good size round. Once i find one in good condition at good pricr that's the lever I'd pick up

I own a 45/70 and a 458 wm. If i were to get another 45 it would be a 458x2"
I'd really like to get a couple rifles in 35 and 375 to round things out. The 35 rem seems common enough the others look like gun show finds.

I would go with the .35 Remington. Both the .375 and the .356 are discontinued and ammo availability is problematic. The .35 with the original 200 grain load is VERY effective on game at woods ranges with mild recoil. The older Marlins without that abortion of a crossbolt safety are best in my opinion.

Winchester model 71 in .348 win is a really nice rifle. I have been searching for a 357 mag trapper takedown they are very nice guns and could be reamed out to 357 max.
