Lever Actions 22 rimfire Picks

Ithaca 72 is the Henry 001.

My favorite is the 9422 with the Marlin a close second. The latter's price, however, is getting kind of ridiculous.

I have owned the Bl-22, 3 9422's , one model 39TDS, and a Winchester model 250. Except for the Winny 250, they were all good, but my preference is the BL-22 for looks, overall fit & finish and handling. The short throw lever is very nice as well. The Henry I handled was slick and I am sure will work fine, but I wouldn't hand down a gun with plastic internals.

I've got a marlin 39 from 1958. she's a little used but always blows me away with its accuracy and smoothness.

I would like to get a newer one, like the centenial model or the cowboy they had out a few years ago.

Anyone know where a guy can find one of them uberti's at?

today i bought a Henry 22LR rifle, feels real nice, will be nice for plinking, the last 22 i had was a Winchester 9422.........it was real nice but i sold for a huge (IMHO) amt of $$$$ and since i did not use it much i decided let it go to someone that really wanted it,shortly after i sold it i missed having the 22 in my stable....so i got the Henry....will take it out in a couple days...really feels good and its finished very nicely an has some awesome furniture on it.

i bought this on my first trip to WSS in Kamloops BC...wow what a store.:):):)
