Lever Arms sale on SKS and SVT40

Pardon me, but rifles are ruined from Non-Cleaning, not from the ammunition, whether corrosive or not. Rifles can rust away without ever shooting a single round with corrosive primers. I was shooting and cleaning my rifles for 30 years before I started reading about this Corrosive ammo boogy-man. Not one of my rifles is rusting.


Ive been shooting surplus ammo out of my cz527 since day one. It has no rust because I clean it.

This should be written in a bible. I buy more rifles for cheap parts because people don't clean then.

I can sacrifice bad service for cheap prices on surplus rifles.
However when they decide to record your PAL, address, drivers licence #, and birthday(all for NR purchases) its a different story.

Anyway to tell whether or not the ammo is really corrosive or not by shooting it? I just bought some "non-corrosive" 7.62x39 from Lever for my CZ 527.... Expensive rifle to wreck with false advertising.

Yup lucked out with those two as they were right up front in the display case when you walk into the store, eyeballed them and decided I'm getting these two for myself.

I presume these are kill counts? Either way both have them and I like the character it adds to both rifles.

Repair to one of the stocks, also shows the bronze/copper colour of the bolts, my other SVT's were plum colour.

$445 well spent in this buyers mind.

Your not wrong. Those rifles have the grooves for the scope mount but not the notch.

Looks like I will have to go down there and pick out another SKS... I bought one the last time they were on sale... this time I am going to mod it to a black rifle with a Tapco or ATI stock... will be fun

I've seen pictures of SVT40's with oiled wood and polished bolts. I'm tempted to do that to one at the current prices.
Grove, you were lucky to get one without a stock repair. All the ones I've seen at LA have repairs.

the stock repairs are done really well, you didn't happen to notice the big stock repair on the lower rifle just by the action did you?
