Can the experts comment on them, I know they want alot for them but unless you won the lottery during the xmas sale, waht you gonna do to get one? Thanks!

The Lever SVT snipers are legit.

As you mentioned, some got lucky and received some at random or in a crate purchase with the Christmas sale, but Lever has hand picked some legit snipers and are selling them at a premium price.

They have also done the same with some pretty rare and scarce K98 codes, selected the rarest and sold them at a premium, well selling the rest at standard RC pricing.

The way they seemed to price the SVTs was after a while, they saw what customers were after, then raising the prices on that. No problem with that. It's called bussines. I got a railed model for the sale price of $200 and a couple of weeks later I saw the price on these go up.

You and me both... And in really good shape to boot.

Not super keen on dealing with them again though. They weren't exactly "on the ball" over Christmas. They lost my order, twice, before they got around to shipping it.

Speaking of the SVT-40 Christmas sale... all I got with the gun was a magazine... no tool kit, oil bottle or ammo pouch.

I emailed them about it but got no response.

Did anyone who got the $199 special NOT get these ???

I don't think we got the extras. I do wonder what Lever did with them though.

I would agree with grelmar.....these guys at Lever Arms were my first and my "VERY WORST" experience with a gun dealer. I will never deal with them again and would recommend the same to anyone else that is even considering doing so. There are plenty of other (read it Leaver: R.E.S.P.E.C.T.A.B.L.E) dealers out there and most are listed in the banner at the top of this page. (you go Mystic, Wolverine, CanAm..all beyond excellent service)...every time. I have spent thousands since my first exp with Lever and am happy to say not a penny beyond my first purchase went to them. I learned my lesson (cost me $500 to do so!)...lets hope others don't have to spend any $$$ with them to learn the same lesson.

I was in vancouver a few weeks ago and I went down to lever to check them out. I saw the 2 snipers, and they were in average condition. I didnt know they went for that much. Stock repairs and such, I dont think id pay that much for the 2 I saw there. They have a crap load of surplus rifles and piles of ammo. Bunch of young guys working there, and wouldnt even look at me untill I asked to see a ruger 1911.

Any pictures for legit Svt 40 snipers?

New here and was wondering has anyone seen any aftermarket synthetic tactical stocks for the Svt-40, I emailed ati and tapco several times to bug them
in the past to add to there red rifle line but nothing yet. Though I did run across someone who ordered a Czech or Chinese PSL/ Dragunov furniture and
switched out the butt stock and modified the front wooden heat shield to fit his svt-40 which looked great since we cant get psl's here in Canada.

I got a legit sniper from them on the christmas sale, Would expect the ones they're selling at premium would be as well. I had no issues at all with them.

I bought my SVT40 rifles before they seemed to really gain in popularity and prices came down. I bought mine from Tradex. Yes I paid a bit more especially compared to the $200 offers but I was able to pick out exactly what I wanted.

Just to give a comparison, I paid $400 for a legit sniper (back notch). The stock was a refurb AVT navy. The really interesting part was that the actual firearm seemed brand new. Even the triger was stiff and seemed unfired.

I just ordered one of the Crownin Arms repro mount/scope combo for this rifle. Looking forward to seeing how it shoots.

Really glad to see the popularity of these rifles increase. I was hooked after my first one. 3 months later I had six of them.
