It's called CF98 on Lever's website! Holy cow! This isn't mil spec, this is real military ####! Now it's gonna be interesting to see what Marstar's gonna do.

I'm I missing something here? What's the big deal?

That's PLA's new issue sidearm which was to replace the 7.62x25 Type 54 (Tokerav TT33 Chinese version). Two models were developed in 1990s. One in 9mm, the other in 5.8mm. Both were called Type 92. The 5.8mms were issued to senior officers only. It was said that both were very well made and quite accurate. The 5.8mm is quite unique in that it used both roundnose and pointed bullet with good penetration. Now I don't know why the 9mm is given a different model number of CF98. Probably only for Canadian market?

With 40 bucks more than the orignially listed price of $550 on NP22 and NP34, I'd definitely go for this one.

I thought the M92 was initially developed for the 5.8mm calibre, then modified for 9mm for the much more popular 9mm ammunition( a marketing concern?...for military market not civies). I understood that we have no chance to have a 5.8mm version (AP bullet) but I also concern about how much they sacrificed in the original design to make way for the 9mm version?

Anyway, I can wait for your range report...
and Marstar's counter offer...

I doubt if Marstar would be able to get it in. But if they would, that's just awesome.:D

To what I know T92 and K100 are two different pages even though they do look alike from the first look. But I'll go to Lever to take a close look and take some pix if possible. One thing you guys should keep in mind is that T92 is a military issue. It's not just a mil spec product, it is military. That's why I said Marstar might not able to get it in.

Please have a close check if there is any mod for civie market:( You know, it's a different between a real miliatry sidearm than a civie version...Thankz!

Who cares? Too expensive for what you get. Go Team K100.

Then prove for me why 600 bucks for a slovakian gun isn't too expensive for what I get. I've never touched slovakian guns and thought they only get guns from superpowers for free.

Pardon my ignorance, but what differences would you expect to see between a civilian version and a military version of a pistol?

That's simple. Will you exchange your brand new mil M-14 for a brand new M1A if it can also shoot fully auto?

YES! , But - that's a rifle - and I would assume that (FA) difference in military and civilian versions.

But a pistol?

Okay, I think this argument is going nowhere. I have tried neither K-100 nor CF98, a close look and a range report might settle this.

With the chinese, they usually export the crappy commercial stuff and keep the good military stuff for themselves........:D

Just talk to Lever and confirmed that this CF98 is military but not Norc commercial export. Sounds like Kin has his own exclusive channel to get those pistols. So it's highly impossible for Marstar to get them in here. Another feature this CF98 has is rotating barrel locking system too. The price is higher is because of the higher manufacturing costs, which does make a lot sense in that these guns were made in better quality. One thing for sure is that these guns are nowhere close to NP22 and NP34. People here are more used to low cost low price Norc products, so when something like this turns up it might take some time for you guys to break in.
