It just so happens that I'm sitting at the table with a box of Hornady 30-30 WIN 160 gr FTX LEVERevolution ammo.
The box states a Muzzle Velocity of 2400 fps and with a +3" Zero at 100 yards translates to 0.2 inch at 200 yards and -12.1" at 300 yards.
I beleive that there is an article in Shooting Times Magazine on this very subject. And the writter claimed that the chrono speed was a little higher then 2400. He tried to duplicate the speed and couldn't quite get his load to match Hornadys. His statement was that this was one case were the factory load was higher then what he could load.
I've tried them in my 94 with Williams peep site and found they shot well high and right. So I would have to dial my sites in for this load. I think it's a great improvement over the typical factory roundnose stuff loaded by Remington and Winchester. Although I haven't tried federal yet.
For the time being my 94 will use the Remington 150's as they seem to be right on the mark at 80 yards.
