Thanx. Are those for the semi version? I cannot seem to access them.Homegunsmith.com has both the Left and Right side plates posted in their library.
Just a question about the M2 for you dealers since you guys are here together:
1. What is it classified here in Canada and in USA?
2. Someone said it somewhere that it isn't exportable or something as a whole but what about a kit?
3. Who here in Canada can assemble a M2?
All 3 questions do not matter. We spent a TON of money on both 1919s and M2s doing EXACTLY what TNW did by replacing the side plate and trigger, modifying the bolt, yadda, yadda, yadda. We waited 2 years for the RCMP lab to classify these and on both counts they were classified as PROHIBITED, the reason stated was they were deemed "converted auto" which frankly although I feel it is crap given that TNW has the identical guns in this country that are classed as NON restricted.
We were counseled by William Etter ( guru in charge at RCMP lab) that if we were to make the 5 sides of the box that comprises the action, the rest was good to go.
We have side plates for the M2s already built to TNWs specs. Be happy to sell some.
Exporting the parts from the US is problematic as they are parts designed for "weapons of war"
SO now we are debating whether to invest many more thousands of dollars into making 1919s and M2s, I think this answers question 3 quite well.

The conversation I had with Mr. Etter is that the TNW guns that were in country now were going to be left alone.
by latest interpretation of Canadian laws.
Are there any other dealers/firearms that make M2HBs in the states that can make the RCMP laband make more Canadians more
? During my research, I discovered this place http://gryphos.com/index.htm that gets them from here http://www.dragonm50.com/index.cfm ... maybe these could work? Just throwing it out there...*dreaming of fantastic builds*

Unfortunately that company follows BATF standards for their builds, which allows them to use modified surplus parts and newly made right side plate for semi-only guns. This would mean their guns would also not be allowed because they do not meet the RCMPs new standards.
Building a gun from newly made parts to meet the RCMP's new and idiotic guidelines could be done, but I would estimate the guns would end up costing $15,000 to $18,000.
I have some M2 parts here that I would like to build into a semi.
I am looking for side plate plans.
I have search all the M2 forums, and there is lots of discussion, but I still can't find the plans/details
...dream killerhaha j/k but it is a shame...been browsing and researching all the possible stands and mounts and adapters and all for a twin set up...oh well moving back down to 308 set ups
HEHE... Sorry about that. You can spend almost as much on all the accessories and mounts for the belt-feds, then you can on the gun itself. It is a viscous addiction. I just wish I had more money to afford to feed my addiction. LOL
Luckily the M2HB is one of those addictions I didn't get hooked on.
I'm just dreaming the perfect 50 bmg combo and the M2HB in a twin set up would finalize it once and for all alongside a M96 Windruner and a Micor 50 with like 10k of 50 bmg for $30K to supply my babies.... that is if i won the lottery that is...
