LF: Source for Colt Lightning rifle parts.

Hi guys: Recently purchased an 1890 made Colt Lightning small framed .22 pump and am in need of a forend wood for it. Are there any probable sources around? Does anyone know of one that may be available or anyone parting out an old beater? Thanks for any assistance....................wTc

Thanks Cowboy: Couldn't find anything at Dixie but did find a site called www.coltparts.com and they have a listing on them but no price so I sent an email inquiry. Will have to wait and see what develops. Take care.......wTc

Take a good look at the cartridge lifter. There are a couple spots on the underside that are prone to cracks and breakages, causing the lifter to lift just fine, but not retract back down to pick the next cartridge off the tube magazine.

They are slick little shooters when they are working well. Seems like almost every one I see has a home made foreend on it, or it has been glued back together.

The guy at coltparts contacted me and says he has no wooden forearms but does have both brown and black hard rubber ones. ???? Anybody ever seen one or know anything about them? they want 65 us$ + shipping.

Sounds like he's talking Lightning revolver grips.
