LF-the ''One'' Non-restricted .223 semi

Although the Swiss Arms, SL8 and AR-180B are decent rifles and of course are not restricted, I take offence to the so called "Fact" that any of these rifles will out shoot an AR. In the 15 years we have been running Service Rifle Matches here and the numerous times each of these rifles have shown up on the range, not one of them have ever bested a score shot with an AR-15!
Sorry to hi-jack the thread a wee bit, just wanted to throw that in the mix.
Next match 14 October, come and prove me wrong!

Swiss arms,

the SL-8 is nice but it feels a little clumsy with the thumb hole, and isn't really that great, the Sig is much better IMO.

PS. there are no Green Specials, only Classic Green's
Classic Green
Black Special
Red Devil
Blue Star
some others...

Can the swiss arms take AR mags?

I'm thinking of getting a non-rest .223 as well and the LAR15 mags are a big seller for me.

Airborn 69, well it's too bad you didn't get a chance to come along to the range today. Oh well, next time. My new Target PE90 is a keeper. The trigger is a two stage design with a rather heavy let off, but crisp. In all fairness, this is not meant to be a range only special. The trigger is probably as close to perfection for real world use as it's going to get. The controls are all user friendly except the mag release. I had a tough time removing the 5 rd mags smoothly compared to my AR-15. I dislike the fact that the mags do not drop freely when activating the release a/la AR-15. I have the same complaint with my Famae Saf. I am not a fan of the polymer mags to date. The accuracy is great though. No matter what I put through it hovered in the 1 - 1 1/2 MOA. The best part is that the 55gr FMJ shot .8 inch center to center. The match came in at exactly 1 moa. I am definitely curious to try the RUAG ammo now. Overall, I couldn't be happier with it. This rifle is going to have a permanent space in my safe.

My mags drop free on my Black special Target. I hit the mag release with my trigger finger and they drop out. The trick is to avoid doing mag changes with the muzzle up, keep it parallel to the ground or lower.

By the way, thanks for the excellent service when buying this from you. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

I timed myself doing mag-changes and eventually worked out a technique that was quicker than a tac-reload with an AR15. Keep the muzzle parallel to the ground, engage the mag release with your index finger and slowly guide the mag out by "rocking" it forward. BTW, how's the TP9... :D

Took it out today, damn that is one heavy trigger pull.

If you are looking for a rifle cabable of hunting something larger then a gopher
may I suggest the Springfield M1A (.308). It would meet all your stated requirements, except for the AR Mag. affiction.
Cheers,
Wolfgang.

I would go for the XCR, I have one and love it. the PE90 is a great rifle, but doesn't do it for me. I love the XCR
