I'm still waiting for updates on the Tavor, SCAR & Magpul Masada situation.
What's the TAVOR Situation?????? You have to wait?

I went through all of the same research. Everyone raves about the PE-90. Look wise it's not bad, but I like the looks of the AR better. That being said after I actually got a close look at one and handled it at a store, I was sold. The looks grows on you. It's just such a well made, and smartly designed rifle. Everything from the built in bipod to the winter trigger guard swinging out of the way, was well thought out. Looking inside the receiver and you'd expect to see a Rolex symbol in there somewhere (considering the price it shouldn't be too far off
). The trigger while having some creep was very smooth and while not being as good as some of my target/varming grade bolt actions, it was very acceptable.
I seriously considered the HK SL8-4. The awkward bulk and the cracking stock/receiver issue put it out of the running.
As for the AR-15, I'll be getting one of those as well, later on. I currently have an AR-10.
While looking into the PE-90 I kept noticing a certain fact. The gunsmith I take my firearms to (ex military) raved about them and owns one himself. The owner of the store I go to also owned one and had nothing but excellent things to say about them. Now you take a look on this forum and the person representing the company that imports them also owns one. In other words a lot of people with a lot of experience not only praise this rifle but also own them.
Another thing I noticed, is that the scoped PE-90s I have seen all seem to have Nightforce, Zeiss or other high end scopes. Obviously the owners value these rifles enough to put very pricey glass on them.
Anyways I ordered one. I was very carefull before commiting to that $3 K.

I have an AR180B - it doesn't feel as solid as an AR15 which I think people instantly compare it with as soon as they touch it.
But for what you get for the price it's absolutely the best Non-Restricted .223 going in Canada right now: Non-Restricted 18.5" barrel, Armalite, AR15 trigger group, Accurate, AR15 magazines (10rnds), Black, Piston Driven, Light, Accessories available...
