LGR Registry Ending & Lower Milsurp Prices

When we had to pay to register or transfer rifles, you couldn't give away Enfield sporters. They weren't worth the $25 fee.

Not to mention that many receivers were destroyed and the remaining bits were parted-out on e-bay and the like. Those buyers from outside Canada had a bonanza of parts compliments of Canada back in the day. There will be no deflation of prices after the demise of the LGR

How about confused young guys? I had a friend of mine, 9 years younger than me, tell me that now you could buy a rifle with just your drivers license. I patiently explained everything to him. I think he is one of many.

Is there a timeline on when the LGR might finally be dropped?

I realize there is another step or two in the process, just curious if there are any date set on when this may or may not happen...
