Friend of mine, who is a little guy is looking for a left hand bolt carbine in 308 with rifle sights.
I posted on the exchange board and came up with a good lead for him on a Remington 788 that he is following up.
My question is, Is there anything out there new that doesn't cost a lot? He is just a casual deer hunter - maybe hunts 3 days a year, and so doesn't want to spend a lot.
I figure a youth model in 243 would do him just as well as a carbine if you can get them in LH.
I'm not really into firearms that much. I hunt with them and know about the ones I use, but not much more.
Anyone got ideas on models and ballpark cost?
