I'm not in any closet. I'm way out of there and past that! :D

I hereby apologize to Lefty for hijacking/vandalizing his thread.

I will go from here and harass some other visible minority elsewhere.

It's all good.

God made lefties so Remington had someone with no choice but to buy their 'Jerk-o-matic'.:p :D

I work in a gunshop. A few months ago a couple of reps were in from Stoeger doing a product knowledge for the Beretta/Benelli/Franchi/Tikka/Sako...ect stuff. I saw a small write up on the left handed tikka...which caught my attention because I am a lefty. I think the rep told me possibly november but Stoeger products (especially new ones) are notoriously back ordered. I imagine I will not see it until 2007.

They said 'fall sometime' when I spoke to them also.

I was kind of disappointed at the calibers they are planning on offering. Same old, same old. Had hoped for something kind of 'off the beaten path'.

I will be having a look around for 'custom built' options.

Update

E-mail from Stoeger this morning. Looks like a better selection of models and calibers than first anounced.:D

Our first shipment of left hand T3 rifles is in transit now. The only left hand model that will be available this year is stainless synthetic.
Calibers we expect to receive include:
243 win
308 win
25-06
270 win
270 WSM
300 WSM
30-06
6.5x55
300 win mag
7mm rem mag
338 win mag

Please note that not all of the calibers listed above are part of this first shipment in transit. We will receive more shipments before the end of the year.

For 2007, we expect to receive the following left hand models:
-Stainless Synthetic
-Hunter (wood/blued)
-Synthetic Blued

We have not yet received the full 2007 model and caliber selection from the factory. We should have more info by about Nov/Dec. Feel free to check back at that time.
Thank you for your interest in Tikka.

Regards,
Stoeger Canada

Don't understand why it's taking Stoeger so long to get inventory. They have been available in the U.S. for a few months. If you know someone in the States and don't mind a bit of hassle and live reasonably close to the border you can get whatever caliber you want at cheaper prices to boot. I've got a T3 SS LH in .270 Win. on it's way now and will pick it up likey this weekend.....deer season's here and got sick of waiting on Stoeger as they told me late November/early December as of yesterday....who knows....
