Anytime you voice your opinion, whether in conversation with a neighbor or an email to an MP or your signature on a petition or a donation to a legal defense fund, there is great benefit. It may make no practical legislative or political difference, but YOU will know you didn't just lie down.

With respect to all of the bolt guns, they are banning actions that are capable of large bore conversions. Conversions to calibers that are capable of easily defeating body armour.
Never mind they have missed a whole bunch, and you can dismiss this off as tin foil hat stuff, but this is just one more step in preparing for complete disarmament of the public.
