license for boar in alberta?

got a line on some boars and am wondering if i need a license for it, heard they were varmint animals and didnt need it but wanna make sure before i do thanks guys

if you want use a gun a PAL, make sure you got extra ammo, those bastards like to attack in groups.

well i did check a few sites out and all it says is they are a nuisance animal, doesnt go in really any depth about them as far as regs or anything like that. just wanna cover my bases, thought maybe somebody had some experience hunting them

ive shot em. one time got one with buck sho next thing i know i got 3 more on the ground and more running away. even shoot em with a 17 when i was blasting gophers.

You do not need anything special to hunt boar in Alberta, but do a search for other threads on Alberta boars... I have lived in different parts of rural Alberta all my life, mostly in areas with boar "problems", and have never seen one. There definitely are some in Alberta, but you realistically have a better chance of bagging a sasquatch.

If you do end up getting one you are required by law to post photos on CGN.

lol well a friend of mines farm has em, her hubby was bailin and little bastard just comes trotting out like he owns the place, so sometime soon im gonna roll out there and see if i cant do some baiting and get em out in the open
