Ok, so I cannot find my turkey test proof paper, since I dont have the T on my outdoor card yet...

So I am freaking out and want to make sure I get a tag before the start of the season! I bought a tag last year, so I am in the system. So I thought I would buy it online, therefore I dont need my piece of paper. And I can do that, I tried, Would this be the best route to go? I have not used this new electronic system they got going. I just dont know if the tag would be mailed to me in time! Anyone have any idea how long it takes for the tag to get mailed?

My second option is to go to Crappy tire and hope they do not ask for my turkey paper?

Please help, if I have to do this online, I want to do it asap so that it will be mailed faster. Thanks

You can actually print the entire tag online? So nothing gets mailed to me? How does that work, you have to tap the piece of paper to the bird? lol

That was at Canadian tire? They must know I have a turkey license i guess?
 
speaking as a licence issuer I can say that there is a VERY good chance that you will be in the system and will not require the auctual turkey course certificate at the point of sale. As long as you have your valid outdoors card and a small game licence you can get your turkey tag.
If you are really worried call the outdoors card center first. They will look you up and put your mind at ease.

I dont know where you are but I would also suggest calling the licence issuer first to make sure they are still issuing licences, with this new electronic system many issuers are no longer around or have not got the system working yet.

Ohhh thank you very much, I didnt know that the issuers had access to see that I was in the system with my turkey license. I went to buy one online and it was going to let me, so I know I am in the system.

Hmm does this mean Canadian Tire has stopped selling them? That makes it very inconvenient, the Ontario Service Centers are no where close lol.

I am still very curious about this online tag purchasing system, anyone have any experiences with it, can you actually print the tag right off it? It says you can print the license off a pdf the moment you buy it, but the turkey isnt like that, there is no license (small game), just a tag, so that doesnt make sense for this scenario (deer yes).

Canadian Tire around here still sells them. They have the new printer as well. Any license distributor will. They just swipe your card and the info is on there.
 
I tried Canadian Tire and they cannot swipe your card, so you need proof of the turkey exam, but they are still selling licenses with the new system! So thats good. I am going to call MNR today and ask about the online stuff.
