License just came in

CFC site said they received my application for PAL & (R)PAL on January 19. Today, March 9, it came in. 49 days in all. I've already bought my first gun on Saturday, a Ruger 10/22 with scope, case and extra magazine. Next will be a Glock 17, Glock 22, or Springfield Armoury XD40.

FYI, when the CFC site shows that they have your application and that it is in process, call them and get the extension number that your references need to contact. Don't count on the CFC calling your contacts, unless your references gave their work numbers of course. Once you get your phone call interview, you just need your references to call in, unless they already did, and your done. Don't forget that there is a minimum 28 day waiting period.

Just so there is no misinformation from well meaning posters:

...service standards to process a complete and accurate application are:

* 45 days, including the 28-day legislated waiting period, for a licence application;
* 30 days for a registration application.
