I havechecked the MNR websites and am unable to find any license requirements for setting up and running one of these. Any ideas folks?

In England no. But I do have an information packet for Ontario at home. It is a pretty significant undertaking to say the least.
Ontario is where I need to find out about, yes please!
Here in the UK there is no licensing required so anything you can tell me will be a great help.

Excellent I can do that with the funds I have! Having just returned from a 3 week farm viewing trip I firmly believe that canada is probably as over regulated as Europe!

Some Provinces are worse than others for this, and Ontario is one of the worst. What part of Ontario are you looking at?

I was mainly joking since it easily exceeds the minimum 100 acres by a considerable margin. I don't doubt that they would sell as they are looking at retirement but it would be an expensive farm for sure. On the other hand you could potentially rent the farm fields and there are a few houses attached that they rent as well. If you are serious enough that you want more info feel free to email me. There are also other smaller and less expensive farms in the same area which is about five minutes from Pembroke.
