Liege United Arms Double - Blackpowder....or is it?

I have a Liege United Arms SxS hammer gun that as far as anyone can tell is from around 1950. It only has the black powder proof. Checking on doublegunshop , a couple of guys there said that the gun only has to be stamped for black powder proof. While most are stamped for smokeless loads, apparently sometimes the fellows while stamping got a bit lazy. Just what I was told but I couldn't see how a gun from around 1950 would only be for black powder until they told me this. I know this gun has only seen modern loads. What kind of barrels are on yours?

While your gun only has the black powder proof stamping, the 12 70 stamping within the open oval was used from 1924 onward. So your gun is from at least 1924 and it has 2 3/4" chambers. The barrels are not damascus or twist. I am guessing, that like mine, they just didn't stamp it with the smokeless powder proof.
