I've owned two Henry AR7's, they do jam more than Marlin 795 (same action as Marlin Papoose), but not enough to be a problem. Smoother, round-nosed bullets seem to feed better.

The main thing I don't like about AR7 is the stock: it's too bulky. It's that way because it's designed to float for a few minutes if dropped in water. I'm not a boater and I don't know if this is actually a major concern for people who're on water a lot, but none of my guns have ever fallen into water, and besides it's either in your packback or attached to your backpack, so the floatability of the gun itself is really not an issue. So if you have an AR7, try find one of those thin, skeleton stocks, or just make one yourself.
