Light, folding stock for Savage A17 semi-auto .17HMR

If I'm not mistaken, all Volquartsen semis are designed around the 10/22 platform. If that's the case, it would seem likely that any of their barrelled actions would drop into one of the 10/22 aftermarket stocks. I think there are at least 2 that fold. Butler Creek/Ram?

Anyhow, I'm not a semi guy..and VQs are bit pricey...but that's all that comes to mind. Basically, a top-tier rifle dropped into an inexpensive, aftermarket stock.

Thanks for pointing out that option. They look to be great, high-quality rifles, but more than I want to spend, which is why I'm looking at the relatively inexpensive A17.

While I'm typing, although it is probably desirable for ultimate protection, is hearing protection really necessary when shooting the A17 outdoors, say in an open field?
