Light mount venting off... NO MORE!

I would like to see a clean design that clamps on the mag extension tube and gives me not three or four rails with antennas, geegaws and sharp edges but a single clean one, just long enough to accept a weapon light such as Streamlight or Surefire design (and maybe with a sling attachment point if the design is strong enough).
And I would like it in parked steel with (if possible) a decent price.
Is that too much to ask for?

Mesa Tactical has all the things you asked for except it is made of anodized aluminum. Just add a www in front of the mesatactical and put a dot com on the end.

Mesa Tactical magazine and barrel clamp.

Thanks again Arwen! :dancingbanana:
I just received Mesa Tactical's barrel and mag clamp and it is absolutely great!
Quality of the finish is second to none, fit is perfect! each threaded hole is set with an Helicoil so there is no worry of it wearing down and loosening.
The 1 1/4" push-button quick release swivel is very stiff and wobble free and the short stubby Picatinny rail is just about the perfect length.
Great stuff for my 870 "camping gun". No more venting off! :D

Outhouse companion...

Here’s my version of a “Tactical Camping Outhouse rig”.
I got the Mesa Tactical mag/barrel clamp from TacOrd: Casey is always a great guy to deal with and his counseling is first rate.
Since my budget was still reeling from the Chrismas onslaught, I was looking for an “Inexpensive Gizmo” to clamp a light to that short rail.
Some time ago, one of my friends had given me a pair of cheap 30mm. Picatinny QD rings he got on Eek-Bay and one of them wasn’t working well, so they were heading for the junk bin when I discovered that a small nine-LED light fitted perfectly in them… Bingo!
This ain’t a proper Streamlight rig, mind you, but it will fill the bill and give me time to save the necessary moolahs for one.
Happy camper! :D

Who makes the forend on your shotgun?

I really don't know: I bought that Remington 870 TC Trap less barrel and it had that synthetic forend and buttstock, The buttstock is quite peculiar: it is hollow and has finger dimples in the checkered pistol grip area. There's a very thick recoil pad that fits inside it and is held by two screws.
I kept the forend because of that front projection; it gives a safe grip with a short barrel.

That is why I asked. Close to Remington's MCS forend. Same idea - thought it might be easier to get. Anyone know who makes it?
