I had a Surefire on an 870 with a 20" barrel, however I don't think this setup would work with a barrel less than 14" inches, also the Surefire 870 fore end with a light is currently approx $450, which is more than the price of the Grizzly. The Streamlight most likely would work, however I found your comment about getting your hand chewed interesting. Another solution is the Cadex (Canadian made) dual 870 fore end rail which is available from S&J HardwareGrip is best. I have a Surefire on mine (it usually wears an 18.5" barrel now). Streamlight does make a rail that mounts to a ring sandwiched behind the mag cap, but I found because it didn't move with the fore end I'd chew my hand when pumping from time to time. If you want to check that out, Streamlight part # is 69906.
