Light or heavy barrel?

Guys still fairly new to the game, I purchased a light weight keymod XCR... My question is what are the advantages to disadvantages? Accuracy after so many rounds, will they be the same? Will the heavy barbell last longer?

All other things being equal, a heavy barrel dissipates heat better which means you can shoot it longer and faster before the barrel starts to warp and causes your groups to widen. We're talking hundreds and hundreds of rounds in a span of a few minutes. Mostly useful on LMG's.
