Just wondering if anyone else has been getting light primer strikes with the latest batch of BDX ammo? I have used this ammo as backup when I run low on my reloads. I have shot thousands of rounds of it never having a click and no bang. This batch is doing it with two of my guns. The primers even have a deep firing pin mark on them when inspecting after they didn't go off. I know Federal primers are the choice for ipsc due to trigger jobs but this has never been an issue before for me with BDX. I was told they had issues sourcing primers. Maybe they are using small rifle primers???

I have shot tens of thousands of 9mm bdx and never had a problem with it. Contact bdx or the distributor who you bought it from. I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

Small rifle primers would be sitting proud unless they swaged/cut each primer pocket deeper. I tried seating large rifle primers in 44 mag for my 1894 lever and they all sat proud (still chambered and fired though). Same thing for small rifle primers in 32ACP brass for using in chamber adapters (my rifles keep piercing the pistol primers.)
