Light SxS 20ga?

I've had SKB 100's and 200's in 12 and 20, great choice if you don't mind that style of gun... meaning single triggers and usually (but not always) beaver tail fore ends. Also if you can find one that hasn't had the chokes opened up too much and doesn't have stock cracks in the scallop area, better yet! I haven't seen a good one for $1k in a long while now though, the secret is out!

I did stumble upon the CZ upland ultralight and it seems like exactly what I was looking for...except the barrels just need to be rotated 90 degrees ;-p

I know that mine is utilitarian compared to some that your are listing, but I love my Stoeger 20 gauge coach gun. 20" with imp and mod cylinders, 3" if you want to.

I really like the look of SxS's but they're not in fashion right now. Anything in particular you had in mind that would be worth checking out in the 20ga 6lbs 1000$ range?

Depends on what you want it for. For upland hunting there's nothing better than a nice fitting SxS. If you have never shot or hunted with such a gun, then you have not experienced what a nice SxS can do.

Except it's not a 20 gauge though and don't know how close it is to 6 pounds?

Picked up an Ithaca/SKB 100. Sold both my CZ's after that.
I've had three M-100s over the years and like them a lot. Two were 20ga. The current 20ga was a 28" choked F&M but had the choked reamed to IC/M. It's perfect for upland. The 25" model comes from the factory with IC/M chokes but I find the 25" bbls a tad short for handling. The 28s are much gooder. Also the M-100s come with a splinter forend as the M-200s come with a big beafy beaver tail forend.
The only fault I have with them is that they don't come with double triggers.

Thanks for all the comments and recommendations guys.
After reading that I'd have more choices in O/U for a light gun, I started looking in that direction. Finally settled on a Stevens 555 I found on the EE.
Seems light at 6.2'ish pounds (specs), should be more fun to carry around than they Pardner at 8.2lbs.
I'll give this a go and see if I need to go lighter...if anything, I'll get the 20ga version of the Stevens for my son lol.
