Light weight scope recommendations for .22lr precision style shooting.

This scope might not exist but figured this would be the place to ask. I'm building out an aftermarket 10/22 (mostly SBI components) and plan to use it for local Metallic Sillouette and ORPS/PRS matches. Targets are generally 2 MOA in size or larger and vast majority will be 100 meters and in. All the standard recommendations for precision style scopes tend to be at least 1.5lbs or more. Are there any viable options that weigh around 1.0lb? Yes, yes I know added weight is an asset for precision shooting but my preference is to keep the rifle's total weight under 7lbs or even 6lbs (unscoped rifle will weight about 5lbs). Up to 12x is fine and budget is $600CND or less. I don't have the time or budget to go all-in in these sports. I'm not looking to win, just looking to have fun and not completely embarrass myself.

For your budget and weight restriction I think you are looking at the Leupold Freedom 4-12x . Since you are shooting Silhouette you probably wont be fiddling with the turrets; I think a good reticle be very helpful so you can adjust if you need to between shots. You will find different availability for reticle offerings at different retailers, so make sure to shop around and pick something you like.
Other options under 20oz, varying budget:
  • Burris Fullfield IV 3-12x42 (17.6oz)
  • Burris Signature HD 2-10x40 (17.6 oz)
  • Burris Droptine 4.5-14x (18oz)
  • Vortex Diamondback (~18oz)
  • Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x (17.2oz)
  • Bushnell Elite 2.5-10x (19.7oz)
If you dont need 12x then trimming the magnification range a little will get you some weight savings.

Thank you for all the info! I have a look at each.
 
12x is plenty, you can see a 3/8 dot target with that easily. Even bulletholes.

Heck, you can theoretically just use a 2moa red dot with a 3x magnified and still have fun.

Not sure I understand the weight issue if you aren't hiking with it in the woods for more then 3 hours!

It’s just preference thing. I’m well aware a light build isn’t optimal for this type of shooting. Heavy, specialized precision rifle builds just aren’t ‘cool’ to me 🤷‍♂️

Silhouette and PRS are quite different. Silhouette has regulations that impose weight limits and you shoot offhand so a lightweight build is extremely beneficial.
If you went with a standard heavier PRS build, you likely wouldn’t have a fun time using it for silhouette, whereas with your build now you will be able to have fun at both.
