Hey guys,

I've been messing around with trail boss powder and 150 gr projectiles and its pretty interesting/fun to shoot. Hogdon says I'm getting around 1800fps with the current load of 25.gr of trail boss and 150gr speer hot cores. What issues do you think i might run into if i start using lighter and lighter bullets? Im thinking they would just travel faster. but I'm not sure if their is any safety risks I'm unaware of? I've seen 30 cal bullets as light as 100gr. these bullets are for no real purpose other than plinking and generally messing around. looking for some advice from the more experienced reloaders. what do you think the outcome would be and is it safe to attempt or should i just stick to the recommended load in the reloading manual? thanks

Directions on how to use trailboss. You can use it in pretty much and case with any bullet. I have used it in 223, 30-06, 243, 7mm-08, 308, 30-30.

Used 110 in a .308 for a while when I could find them. Try some hardcast, I been using 150gr couldn't find anything much lighter in cast at the time. Think they were $60 for a box 400, cheep plunking. In my 30-30 the report is no louder than a .22rf.
