I was leafing through the Field and Stream magazine I got for Christmas when these things caught my eye.

Lightfield Commander IDS Plus, 3.5" 1 3/8oz 1890fps generating 4,759 foot-pounds of muzzle energy!

I tried to find more info on them but Lightfield's website keeps trying to gift me some malware...

Has anyone ever heard of these beasts before? SFRC is the only retailer I can ever recall having Lightfield products.

Whoever gets their hands on some first needs to send a box to Brobee!
 
I wonder why they went with a 3.5" length. The only reason I can think of is to take advantage of the higher max pressure as I don't see any reason that wouldn't fit in a 3" hull (assuming it's 12ga diameter).
If it's meant for a rifled barrel they really shrunk their market as the majority of rifled barrels are only 3".
 
I've been looking for them for about a year... they're the only 3.5" slug I could find on the market. I have exhuasted all options, emailed manufacturer, said to contact distributor, who won't reply, two local shops sell Lightfield non-letal but said they can't get these...
