I thought I read somewhere that they increased the $$ limit for export to $200.00.

I could be wrong but if it did happen they may be waiting for a new application/permit to export.

I tried Kelly.... lots of issues... they absolutely refuse to send me one that is over 100 bucks....

For most rifles you have to buy an unfinished one and do the oiling yourself....

and laminated stocks aren't known for their lightweight.

OP... if you want a 7mm-08 or .243 you could go with a stock model 7 compact and weigh in at 6 1/8 pounds.....

I've had several short-barreled .308's, and I'd not go shorter than 20". As for contour, I'd go a bit smaller contour than a sporter, around .575" at the muzzle.
