well i had to try 3 different kinds of leupold before finding the right one ...the holes are not spaced the same.

They have .860 rear hole spacing and take the same bases as a standard length Winchester action.

In other words, the 30-06, 270, 7mm rem mag, 300 Win Mag, 300 WSM all use the same rear base.

so glad to hear about your experiences ... i went to the local store and tried 2 different kinds that did not fit my fwt 300wsm and the 3rd one was the weaver basic in steel and i was golden so never assume what you think you know until you reach some different experiences ...

And if weight is an issue, and it obviously is...then Talleys are very simply the most for the least.

And honestly RJ, Talley LW rings suck to. And I have used a pile of them. That includes using them on LH SA Model 70’s.
