Im mulling over the options on what to Mount on my Sako Finnlight...no point putting on anything heavy. Right now in inventory I can pick over a Leupold VX2 2-7x33 wich is fairly light in itself or VX2 3-9x40 (just a bit heavier). Not sure its worthwhile looking at the lighter scopes and if Ill even notice a difference. (I think leupold makes a few lighweight scopes) I can consider some other brands too.

I was just in the same boat. After quite a bit of reading went for the minox za-5. Lightweight, better glass than others in the class.

The Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 at 12oz is not truly a lightweight but looks great on my Finnlight. A couple ounces may be important to the true mountain hunter but for me it is not an issue chasing White-tails. I considered the Conquest also but the extra 6oz and ugly was noticeable. The VX 3 2.5-8x36 would have been my second choice.
