Hi, I'm looking for a lightweight synthetic stock for my short action remington 700. I've found brown precision to be the lightest as their kevlar model is 1lb but they are really pricey, I've looked at HS Precision and McMillan any other suggestions?
thanks.

Robertson makes a nice light one I believe, and WildCat as well. Two Canadian stock makers.

McMillan Edge, Basner sheep hunter, Brown prec, all light stocks

The Robertson Compostie Sillouhette stock comes in around 22 ounces. The cardboard box and packing foam i received it in weighs more than the stock.

Super rigid. I would recommend either this one or any other of the Robertson stocks.

The "Nesika hunter" stock, built by Robertson Composites here in Canada (the silhouette stock) is the most popular Silhouette competition stock at present. There are two variations, the original flat bottom and now the newer rounded bottom. I'm not sure how the would stand up in a hard tumble.

so many options...thanks for the info. I see that Robertson composites are made in Nepean, not to far from home, maybe I'll take trip there on christmas break.
